Couturier Lee Paton visited to frame a newly commissioned, exquisitely detailed drawing of the Romanov Family by multi-disciplinary artist Tania Rivilis. The soft antiquing finish on the chosen silver ornate frame provided a subtle elegance along with classical ornamentation. The portrait was an original graphite drawing on two layers of transparent paper and includes a number of symbolic items. ![]() The items Tania Rivilis included in the artwork refer to details about the royal family. Objects, such as a small toy horse in the little Alexey's hand, refer to his illness preventing him from riding horses and playing. Also included are a letter from Rasputin and symbolic embroidery details and flowers. We mounted both sheets in an extra-thick Antique White cotton-core conservation mount; the extra-thickness providing a further quality and dimension. For your framing requirements you can contact us or visit Tuesday to Saturday 9am to 5pm.
