Robot parts are quite extra-ordinary objects and when displayed need extra-ordinary frames.
Framing for Automata Technologies launch of their 'Eva' robotic arm included displaying it's anatomy of metal gearboxes and robotic circuit boards. Each object was to be mounted within 5 frames as a scientific collection.
The frames needed to be extra deep with bespoke attachments to float mount the gear boxes. We kept them all the same depth for uniformity using wooden box frames and double extensions, along with a Matt Black Spray Painted hand finish for a contemporary ultra-smooth effect.
Grey cotton core mounts with grey spacers gave the frames a smart, elegant interior letting the colours of the circuit boards shine like jewels. With acrylic glazing for ease of transportation, the display will travel to robotic fairs and scientific demonstrations.
'Eva' the robotic arm has been developed by Automata Technologies as an affordable robot, helpful in automating small manufacturing businesses and other workplace set-ups.
